ROLE Essay Competition 2023 Awards Ceremony

As a knowledge exchange initiative under the Faculty of Law, the Rule of Law Education (ROLE) Project is keen to engage law students with local communities and to bring positive social impacts by advancing public legal education.

Aside from creating teaching resources to interact with the general public in promoting a better understanding of the rule of law and other basic legal concepts, the ROLE Project organises an annual Rule of Law Essay Competition to encourage students who are in their senior years of secondary school to ponder the significance of the rule of law, and how its principles are reflected in their daily lives.

The Competition received a record-high response of over 150 entries this year.  The judges' panel selected a Champion, First and Second runners-up, and Merit awardees for both English and Chinese language categories. Together with their parents and teachers, the winners attended the awards ceremony on Saturday, 23 March 2024 to celebrate their achievements.
