Civic Engagement

In a pluralistic society, citizens have different expectations toward governance. This inevitably leads to conflicts and disputes between the government and citizens and between citizens in the enactment and enforcement of laws. To effectively reduce or resolve disputes arising from legal or other causes, allowing effective participation by citizens in the formulation and implementation of policies and laws can facilitate different opinions to reach social consensus. Setting up a comprehensive civic engagement process is one of the goals of the Rule of Law.
