Limitation from Law

 

Similar to the previous level, the goal of this level of the Rule of Law is to ensure government officials are bound by law. However, the level of Regulation by Law lacks effective limitation mechanism to achieve the goal. To ensure powers are effectively and adequately constrained, the laws must establish a series of external limitation mechanisms including check on executive powers through an independent judiciary to prevent abuse of powers.
