About ROLE
The Rule of Law Education Project (ROLE) aims at enhancing Hong Kong citizens’ understanding of the rule of law and its crucial role as the foundation of Hong Kong’s identity and institutions.

School Seminars
We organize legal seminars at secondary schools throughout the year to promote a better understanding of the rule of law among high school students.
Teaching Plans
Students from the Faculty of Law have devised teaching plans on various rule of law topics as complementary materials to assist teachers in planning liberal studies classes.
Commenting on Carlill v Carbolic Smoke Ball Co (1893)
“[The law's] doctrinal integrity helps to achieve legitimacy, because the law can be presented as objective and neutral, not a matter of politics or preference…and applied impartially and fairly to all citizens.”
— Professor Hugh Collins
